The SB101 module is the primary SmartBuss interface for the AVIO 14 or AVIO 4 Hub. The SB101 module handles all backplane management, timing functions and stores the configuration settings for the local media I/O services. Multiple network modules may be installed in AVIO 14 or AVIO 4 Hubs to form hybrid networks with fiber optic backbones and Cat5 tributaries. Two SB101F modules are required in each SmartBuss node for dual redundant fiber optic networks with two pair SM fiber optic cable.

System configuration, control and monitoring information is communicated using an Ethernet Module Features
